Woodland Tales at Claverdon Primary School
Through a collaboration with local Claverdon Primary School, children spend one afternoon a term at ‘forest school’. Outdoor learning activities such as den-building, nature art, foraging and sensory walks have become a key part of the Scandanavian education system and, if used regularly, have been shown to help boost concentration; self-esteem; social skills; and higher educational achievements.

Hill Close Garden pre-school trips
Once a term, children have the opportunity to visit Hill Close Gardens, hedged Victorian pleasure gardens, lovingly restored and reconstructed to capture the planting and personality of their original owners. Children dig, plant and explore as they learn through a series of specially planned art & craft and outdoor activities including everything from puddle jumping and bug hunting to sunflower planting and leaf-rubbing.
